Senior Pastor
Pastor Josh, Jodi, Jacob, Micah, and Andrew moved to Leesburg in September 2020 when Pastor Josh assumed the Senior Pastor position at FBC Leesburg. They enjoy serving together at FBC, spending time together as a family, watching movies, taking trips, relaxing by the pool or at the beach, spending time outdoors, and using their musical talents.
The Lord has blessed Josh and Jodi with a variety of opportunities to serve Him throughout their marriage. They’ve held ministry leadership positions in Children’s Ministry, Student Ministry, Senior Adult Ministry, and worship leadership. Along with those leadership experiences, Pastor Josh has served as a lead pastor since 2008.
Pastor Josh earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Samford University (Birmingham, AL), his Master of Divinity degree from Beeson Divinity School (Birmingham, AL), and his Doctor of Ministry degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (New Orleans, LA).

Pastor of Music & Media

We are seeking an experienced Pastor of Music and Media to develop and lead our church's music and media ministries. This role supports the Senior Pastor and oversees a comprehensive music program, which includes choirs, instrumental ensembles, and media outreach through online platforms. The position involves training volunteers, managing social media, maintaining technology, and producing video content for services and events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct music programs and media initiatives, including social media and online outreach.
- Recruit, train, and lead music and media volunteers.
- Coordinate and manage audio, video, and lighting for church events and services.
- Oversee church website and social networking platforms.
- Plan special events, trips, and workshops for choir and media teams.
- Prepare and administer the music and media budget.
Requirements:
- Formal music and religious education preferred.
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in audio, video, and lighting management; experience with ProPresenter is a plus.
- Strong relational, communication, and organizational skills.
- Church membership and ordination required.

Rev. Aaron Tag
Student Pastor
Aaron began serving as the Student Pastor in October 2023. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Religion Ministry and a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Luther Rice College and Seminary. Aaron has served in various student ministry capacities for over five years and is excited to see what God is doing in and through the next generation! In his spare time, Aaron enjoys antique collecting and drawing.
Missy Newsome
Children's Director
Missy began serving as the Children's Ministry Director in 2005. She is passionate about encouraging kids to know and love God through their relationships with Jesus. She enjoys seeing kids grow and using their gifts to serve others. Her desire is to help equip parents by providing them with resources and support as they raise and disciple their kids.
Tina Martin
Ministry Administrative Assistant
Tina began serving as the Ministry Assistant in 2000 and continues to wear many hats in her role. She believes that her calling is what keeps her motivated to go above and beyond in her service to her Lord. She has a “big heart of love” for her church family and the community of Leesburg. Tina enjoys traveling in her spare time.
Pam Ferrell
Finance Secretary
Pam began serving as the Financial Secretary in 2022. She has been at FBC since 1968! She feels that it’s been an answered prayer for her to serve the Lord and her local church as the Finance Secretary. She and Burt, her husband, have three sons: Chris, Jacob, and Sam. She enjoys traveling with her husband, reading, spending time with family, and going on adventures with her granddaughter, Emily!
Tabitha Branch
Connections Director
Tabitha began serving as the Connections Director in August 2023. Tabitha has been a member of First Baptist Church Leesburg since 1999. She and Paul were married in 1998. They have one son, John, who was born in 2003. She loves to see ideas come to life and people finding joy and purpose in serving God. Tabitha believes that serving others changes us and she hopes you find a way to use your gifts to serve others and be changed. On her time off, she loves to read books and go fishing. And in the fall you might hear her yelling, “GO DAWGS!!”
Kristin Houck
Campus Operations
Kristin provides many of the custodial and maintenance services for the church properties. She strives to keep our campus and amenities clean and safe so that you and your family enjoy everything that FBC offers in worship and ministry to our Lord. Kristin is also a small business entrepreneur in our community, and we are thankful for her many contributions. She is married to James and they have one son, Henry.
Melissa Kennedy
Church Hostess
Melissa began serving as the Food Services Lead (Church Hostess) in January 2020. She has been a member of First Baptist Leesburg for nine years. She and her husband, Andy, have two children, Aaron and Elizabeth. They love their farm which is a family adventure to maintain! Melissa enjoys providing hospitality and making genuine connections with the congregation and the community here in Leesburg.
